slow motion memories & observations from another 21st century content producer.
One more post before I’m homeward bound tomorrow - it’s been only four days but we’re going to miss Vanuatu. We took a final swim out to the turquoise waters just west of Tamanu this afternoon and there we were all bobbing about in the ocean, carelessly flapping our arms like a pair of crazies - Nicholas & I - and our new found friends, Victor, a roofer from the nearby island of Malakula, who was also holding onto a just-dead fish he had caught and his cousin Timmy, who had never flown on an airplane but drives Victor’s bus around Efate, as their sons and nephews raced along the beach, diving every so often back into the currents singing and hollering. And it’s just that, this is where you meet new friends and their families, bobbing around in transparent waters, watching the sun, tasting the salt water, and finding out that bit more about the world and yourself.
